Top architecture firms for stadium design

Stadium construction is a massive project and often a large group of people works behind for the successful completion of projects. To create a lasting impression and breath-taking identity through the project, the amount of hard work put in is enormous.

We shall look at a list of architectural firms taking up stadium projects around the world.


1. Fernandes Architects

This firm was established in the year 1999 in Sao Paulo with a primary focus on residential and health-sector projects. Over the last two decades, Fernandes architects have been quite famous in the field of sports architecture. They are popularly known for the Maracanã and Pernambuco arena which were the venues for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.


2. Foster and partners

This renowned architecture firm is known for a lot of projects, Wembley stadium in England being the most known for the sports architecture project taken by them. Lusail Iconic Stadium in 2010 is another famous project completed by the architects.


3. HOK

Established in the year 1955, HOK is one of the progressive firms in the A&D industry with an eye focus on urban design, sustainable design, and landscape architecture. Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta and Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi are their most famous projects involved with stadium design.


4. Herzog & de MeuronDesign

This firm gained great popularity after the successful completion of their project Bird’s Nest- Beijing National Stadium for 2008 Olympic Games, and Allianz Arena in Munich. In addition to these two projects, they were involved with so many other iconic projects too.


5. Rosetti Architects

The US-based firm focuses majorly on arenas, stadiums, and also commercial buildings. The firm was established in the year 1969 and was active in the field of sports architecture right from the initial stage. Tele2 Arena in Sweden, spectacular designs of Louis Armstrong Stadium, Grandstand Stadium in New York are few among their world-praised projects.
